The magnet did stick to it but not strong I think it is brass

The magnet may have been picking up the steel in the main spring I tried it on the frame and it gravitated to the screws. Coinneach I feel very lucky to find it I had never heard of one either. It has no import marks

It won't have marks, it was assembled by H.S. mainly of Uberti supplied parts. I think H.S. produced the frame and all else was Uberti.

Very nice find. I collect H.S. pistols and I didn't know they made these. I'm drooling just a bit.
