My experience with lubes and wax is not stellar. I believe the wax contributes to fouling buildup and more frequent swabbing. I have switched to using water with a small amount of Dawn dish detergent added.
@BuffaloSoldier may have been born yesterday. But he’s been up all night studying…See there, you already have some people on this forum figured out!
I agree I too am looking forward to the results, no one is saying it’s the end all be all but might be a good alternative. Especially in a pinch, being able to go out and get a ML product just about anywhere would be niceLooking forward to your range results. I have a bottle of that very product in the garage.
Patches remain quite slick. Load easily. Minimal fouling in my smoothbore. I am pleased so far.Testing will continue, depending on weather. No response yet on your patch lube experience??
Mineral oil is a paraffin product. Paraffin products are about the only petroleum products that don’t get all wonky with BP residue. The mineral oil is going to give you problems. It is a petroleum product and will cause black powder to leave a hard fouling.
