I just whipped up some home made moose juice using the Stumpy formula.

From what I understand this mix is supposed to be used after drying in a dip of the solution two separate times.

How long does this patching lube last before having to refresh with more moose juice?

Anyone else use this formula for patches and what are possible experiences I can expect from using this mix?

I dip twice - resting the strips overnight flat on waxed paper. Then I either roll them up and keep them in a waxed leather bag or fold them and keep them in a zip-loc bag until needed. In the airtight baggies they keep for years and years.

I have left some exposed to room air (hung on a peg) wood loading blocks for a year and they still work. But normally I don't load up a block until close to when I will need it.

Not all lubed patches keep well in storage. Thankfully, I have forgotten wat concoction I was using at the time for these.
