Took a mini tubing cutter and modified it to allow 22 cases to be made into caps. Head off powder out.... the rim in the groove and tighten the wheel gently to make the initial score on the case . Again tighten gently and rotate back and forth with needle nose pliers. And you will wind up with a cap that works on the first strike. Wanted to come up with a way that was faster and safer and this is what I came up with. 10 bucks for a couple of boxes of22,s so if you make all 100 it will be 10 bucks. An alternative for when regular caps are scarce or to lessen the current demand on your own stock of caps. Best SM

If you can rigg a mandrel or something up to hold the case. Correct size drill bit Just the smooth end. Put it in the cartridge after bullet is pulled. Put this in the drill pres so the chuck clamps the brass tight enough.Fix a vice and some way to secure tubing cutter(slide type vice) you don't need the whole tubing cutter just the square shank and the wheel mounted in it.Drill press on,, crank slide vice until cutting wheel touches brass. More pressure using slide vice adjusting handle,,equal,, more cut .
Hope that makes since. Would be alot faster.
