Sounds to me like there is confusion between the terms reinvention & reintroduction!

I think that everyone should just use what they choose as their favorite & not be so critical of what others decide to use. :nono:
 
Not being critical, I just find it humorous that folks insist on inventing (or buying) all kinds of modern (even expensive) concoctions with really humorous names to replace olive oil or lard. :confused:

Olive oil and lard were not the only things used, so let's get beyond that.

Many of the lubes you keep referring to as "modern" are nothing more than ingredients that were available in the 18th century. Since they were available, it's only logical that they may have been used.

I think we all get the point about you not using anything other than lard and olive oil. We respect your opinion - we accept your decision. We are moving beyond that to discuss what we like. Okay?
