Again, thank you for all the great responses. I've sent an email to the contact points at Jefferson Longrifles and a message to a Philip Quaglino on Facebook who is most likely the Mr. Quaglino of Chimney Point Rifle Works. If I have the pleasure of connecting with him I will circle back here to share what I learn about the rifle.

I've always come at muzzleloaders from a functionary standpoint (fun challenging shooting, club shoots, hunting), and I've been attracted to flintlocks in general probably for the same reasons I love shooting/building/hunting with longbows. That said, through this thread, I'm finding myself a bit enthralled by the history and diversity of styles of the American Longrifle and would like to learn more. Can anyone suggest a few definitive works I can read to kick off my education on the subject?
