I have read some good comments about this product on this site and would like to know where it can be bought? Can't seem to find it locally. Thank You

Just about any shooting supply place will have it. If they do not - you can check Midway, Shootes Supply, Natchez; all on line. Don't you just love the smell of that stuff? Brother, if they made a perfume that smelled like that - I would be ready to take the plunge again! Although this time the lady must shoot trap and BP. But not as well as me, of cours. She can be a better pistol shooter though. :)

And it truly is an outstanding product...

One of the many reasons I use T/C 1000+ stuff, is I can get it everywhere.

I dont even use water any more to clean my rifles. Just 2-3 wet patches and then drys.

I used the stuff for years as a cleaner/patchlube. I believe this suff is great for range shooting and it holds tight groups, too.

This is where I buy mine. Although at the start of muzzleloading season I found some slightly smaller bottles as my local Sports Academy store. It had been dug out of the warehouse covered in dust and marked down to $2.00 a bottle, bought me three at that price!
After trying it, well let's just say it has become my lube of choice! :applause: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=662632&t=11082005

As a patch lube, and for swabbing between shots, Hoppes #9 Plus, can't be beat !

:hmm:
I like to use it for NOT swabbing between shots

You are right. When using Hoppes # 9 Plus, swabbing between shots is unnecessary. It's that good. However, I did use it recently, swabbing between shots, when sighting in for hunting accuracy. It worked great. I now have a full freezer !

I have been lessening to roundball go on about
Hoppes # 9 Plus for some time. I got a quart from Dixie the other day. I am impressed! I used it as a patch lube and cleaned my rifle with it after shooting.
I did not oil after cleaning and so far no rust. It seems to be every thing he says it is.

Does that mean you originally thought I wasn't telling the truth about it??
I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but I don't make a habit of making things up

Nope, ain't caught you in a windy yet. Actually you and I agree on every thing you say about TC guns and round ball shooting.
By the way awhile back I was having trouble with my hawken spraying rounds all over the target. I found the problem was me. At my age I get tired and lose concentration on my follow through. I have found that when this happens just put the gun down and shoot later.

I experience the same thing...some days I can go to the range and run them all into the center seems like without even trying hard...other days no matter how hard I try I'm sloppy and I usually find out it's because I'm not concentrating...be thinking about some project at work...dry ball...double ball, etc...when that happens, I just stop, sit down, pour a cup of coffee and take a break.

Well I am going to have to back up on Hoppes # 9 Plus. I got my rifle down to go over before hunting tomorrow. I had cleaned it with Hoppes # 9 Plus and did not oil it after.
I had surface rust in the barrel. Just got out the rim-oil and every thing is ok.
It claims to prevent rust but did not in this case.

I just use it as a patch lube, and occasionaly as a bore wipe this year when I was pattern testing a smoothbore...never thought of it as a rust preventer...glad you caught yours soon enough
