with the hoppes, because it is a patch lub, and a solvent, wouldn't it start to dissolve the load in the barrel if the patch was wet or left for a long period of time? im gonna try it out today and was wondering if i should leave it in overnight because of this if -i don't see a good limb bacon target. just seems odd to lube with liquid as opposed to my normal bore butter. i am looking forard to it claening my barrel for me though

For what it's worth, I only use Hoppes as a patch lube at the range, never for hunting...always bore butter for hunting for the very reason you stated

When hunting, I use a Bore Button, or Wonder Wad, over the powder, as I also use Hoppes #9 Plus.
