I finally completed the weaving of a strap for a powderhorn I turned the plug and installed the valve. The valve accepts a 1/2" adjustable powder measure. No spillage of powder. While not Period Correct (PC), it will be accepted at my club's out of the bag matches.

I used a paddle loom as the heddle for weaving the strap. Hadn't weaved anything for a while and wanted to weave my own strap for the horn.

There are a lot of people here that have a talent! How did you learn to weave?

@LME, I picked up a simple table loom at a garage sale and read several books from the library. Yeah, it was that long ago that I didn't have access to all the tutorials available on the internet. One of my books had instructions on making a paddle loom and I was able to weave several straps. The most challenging weaving is finger weaving.

'Off on a bit of a tangent here, but if someone would be looking for finger woven stuff, keep an eye peeled for Native re-enactors and you'd most likely find that special someone doing it. 'Just a thought...., cheers.

Well done is all I have to say!
