Got my first flinter the other day. Thinking a horn and shooting bag would be fun to put together from a kit. Any ones and from who you folks might recommend? Rifle is a Lyman GPR so I am not real concerned with period correctness just yet thought I do want something that looks good with the rifle. Thanks!

Tandy Leather used to have bag kits a very long time ago. I don't know if they still do. :idunno:

dont get 'sticker shock' from the price of leather these days!!!
easier and cheaper to get a bag from one of the fellows here....go over to the For Sale area~
and BEWARE!!!...you cannot make only ONE horn....it is a desease!...you will make one...then want to make more and more...... :youcrazy:

On horns what lonehunter had to say. John is a great guy.I have done business with him now going on seven years.

Thanks lonehunter and Short Arm for the recommendation of Horns and More. Have sent them a email with a couple questions and will be ordering when I hear back. Like there attention to details like left or right carry and the fact that it sounds like they look the horn over pretty well before shipping. Thinking about the large horn kit to start with and see where I go from there.
