I can turn anything into an M60 GPMG......if you provide all the parts.

I have generally the same skill set… beyond that my smithing abilities are questionable at best. I can run them, can’t build them…

Them is some thick lock plates, but still a beautiful rifle.

I like em a little thick, less chance of breaking.

They really do need to be slimmed down in keeping with the original Hawken design. The length of pull is a problem for me also. Not a big deal to modify but it would require a total refinish of the stock with 46 years of patina on it. I need to take the buttplate off and hold it against the stock to see how it looks shortened.
