Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
if that doesn't work, a local craft store might be able to point you in the right direction...
also, if you have on in your area, see if a violin maker can get you some horse hair - it's what bows are made with, and the stuff does wear out over time and bows have to be re- haired.
I ll put my 2 cents. I have bought horse hair hat bands and fish line yhe they make fish line. its pc for 18 th cent.. probale is it dries out fast and breaks. never could find a way to treat it.
I have two huge horse tails but have never learned to do anything cool with them. Frankly I spend too much time on other crafts to even get into using them.
I never though about weaving or braiding with them. Even with my four foot tails, after weaving or braiding, it doesn't seem long enough for a strap.
Thanks every one I had an idea the art form is a bit pricey but beautiful. I ve seen it low to high and sometimes it pops up in the thrift store but not lately.
