Horses' huff fungus

Anybody know where I could get a couple of the horses huff brackets to use in fire skills traing. thanks for any help ! Mudd Turtle.

Ya gotta be carefull here.
People tend to use different terms in different regions, and there are different fungus that can be used for tinder. And it depends alot on a guys level of study into it all.

Horse Hoof and Tinder Fungus are indeed two different things.
There's only part of the Horse Hoof that's worth while for tinder.
I haven't ever seen any for sale commercially. I'm sure I have Horse Hoof out in the garage but it's buried deep,,

Yes! The stuff that looks a horses Huff -call a brackett and you use the soft stuff inside by scrapeing up and fluffing up the stuff to kindle a fire. Would love to get a chunck to use and some to keep to show people what it is when I demenstrate at our yearly salaute to Veterans at Guilford Battleground Park. Mudd Turtle.
