How do you store your horns, bags and such. I'm not sure if they are better off hanging in the shop or in a sealed container.

As long as you don't have a high humidity in your room hanging on the wall is fine. I have hung my powder horns and flasks on the wall for over sixty years with no problems. A friend hung his in a damp basement and had problems big time in a few months!

Hanging horns is, IMHO, the best way to keep them free from buggie holes. A horn stored in a drawer is simply fodder for them (DAMHIK:confused:). But, a big cabinet, like a gun safe, is fine also. Leather bags hung free require treatment periodically to keep them soft. Mink oil is a good choice for that.

Mine are hanging in the bedroom. It stays dry and without a lot of temperature variation.
