I did too, but the cat (He is a 20 + lb young Maine Coon Cat) was chasing a paper ball and knocked over my favorite Tennessee and cracked the stock at the wrist. I am now putting up wall hangers for my MLs. (Gladly, after getting the wife to accept that corners were devised specifically for the storage of long arms, I have now gotten her to understand that walls were given to us by God to decorate with guns. I am truly blessed since it did not cost me a large fortune this time. I just had to promise to not exact vengence upon her favorite feline!)
