i build for myself, someday i would like to build for others. i also hunt pretty much everything with bp now, it all started with my first CVA kit my dad taught me how to biuld when i was 10 or so. then deer was the ultimate game, now, turkey.

I've built a couple, with one more in the works. After this one, I'll need a fowler. Yes, I hunt with them. That's what they were designed for, ultimately. It's time in the woods, meat for the freezer (or to donate), and to just enjoy this part of the sport. Getting into more of this sport by making accouterments, knives, etc.

A better question would be How many hunters Build? All builders I know hunt or at least did hunt when younger.

I build and hunt, if I can draw a tag. It pleases me to see my customers take deer with rifles I build. So far, no elk or buffalo. If I can't hunt, I enjoy shooting and testing even more.

I don't consider myself a builder compared to alot of the craftsmen on here, but I do hunt with all my ML; All kits or "box of parts" rifles I've assembled.

I can't wait to get my current build done and hopefully take it after deer next year.

I hunt the guns I've built almost exclusively,it's hard to top that feeling...hunting success with one you've made and balls you've run.

Built a flintlock specifically for hunting with. I take that flintlock regardless of it being early (inline) season, rifle season or flintlock season. I dont get out hunting much, due to lack of time, and quite honestly, I dislike anything under 40deg. outside just a bit more than the previous year.
