Easy solution - going shooting more often. I think twice per week is a good place to start.

I haven't even read this thread, but...I'm going to answer just based on the title.

ONE!!!! ( If you aim well!)

One question after another, after another. Didn’t stop there either! I also sent PM’s as well! Also read about every old topic I could find about casting RB.

When I finally purchased what I thought I’d need and stockpiled some lead I set out to gain some hands on experience!

My first time was utter disappointment. My kull rate was probably 90%. Maybe kept 10 ball’s per 100 cast.

Anyway, I kept at it and spent the summer of that year casting nonstop every free opportunity that I had.

Ended up from a kull rate of 90% down to 5 to 10%. Now nearly 95% of my ball’s were keepers.

Started casting all sizes of every caliber of muzzleloader that I owned. Started casting for my friends that I shoot with at BP shoot’s. They’d buy the mould if I didn’t have the size they were wanting and I’d subtract that cost from their order of balls. I’d then keep the mould and become their regular supplier for RB.

It’s definitely not a business but only a hobby that I enjoy doing on down time if I’m hanging around the house. I only cast for those I shoot with.

You can never cast enough RB! At least I know that I can’t!! lol

Respectfully, Cowboy
Cowboy,
I cann't help myself, I have to say that you are truly a man who has balls.

When I get tired of the "endless chatter" inside, I go and cast balls in the garage. It is enjoyable quiet time and I never run out of balls for practice and matches.

I just did an inventory of pistol balls for the coming year and had about 5,000 round balls on hand and I have a new mold on the way for a newly acquired pistol.
