Hypothetically asking...how would be the best way to enlarge the channel in a stock to fit a slightly bigger barrel? Not much material on the sides, easily broken I'm sure.
And what is a good source for silver, or at least something that looks like silver for inlays in a stock? Old silver dimes pounded smooth and shaped as needed?

Indian jewelers Supply or RioGrande Gems and Findings. Sterling Silver sheet, strips, stampings etc. If they're still in business. It's been a long time since I bought from either.

Agree that Track has many shapes in German silver to choose from. A pre64 coin could be peened to shape for a nice, real silver inlay.
Square and round scrapers are made specifically for the barrel groove fitting.

For slight channel enlargement I reccomend a piece of wood wrapped with sand paper to enlarge the channel. It takes time but is less likely to remove too much,
