Howdy folks,

I work in the firearms industry making weapons for the military and occasionally ones for myself.

The image above is a 2.6" mortar that I made a number of years back and have had fun learning its little quarks on how to load it.

Anyway, my little mortar has re sparked an interest I have had in flintlocks. Some sort of flintlock was the first gun I ever shot in elementary school when a revolutionary war reenactment group visited us and showed us how they worked. Recently I have found myself looking more and more at them and I think I am finally in the market for a good flintlock and... honestly know nothing about them.

I saw the cannon forum, and also one on flintlocks and thought I would poke my nose in and see what I could learn!
