I'm helping the widow of a dear, departed friend by researching her guns.
One is a HUDSON'S BAY COMPANY Imperial No 2 trade gun in 26ga percussion.
It's truly a beautiful small-ish trade gun in as-new condition.
Has nice, old-school engraving and subtle color case hardened lock plate.
I seek information about these, but am finding nothing on Google or the gun auction sites.

Would appreciate any leads from the camp. Will add photos as available.

Single or double barrel?

It is a single barrel. I referred to it as a trade gun, but now believe it to be a darn nice single barrel sporting gun. Sure wish there could be a way to date it. Wonder what it might be worth?
