Something you might want to try is a wild rag. It's made out of silk. Fold it in a triangle give it a couple of twirls to the size you want cross it on the back of neck tie a loose square knot in front tuck it in around your collar and you'll be surprised how much warmer you will be. You might not think that silk could keep you warm but it will. And if there is a lot of wind you can ppullit up over your face.

Silk is great as it is an animal product like wool so doesn't loose its insulating value when wet. I use a silk bandana around my neck, and often, one on my head, to help insulate and isolate my skin from harsher materials.

Bandana that's the same thing as a wild rag, that what they were called where I purchased them. They really work well. Surprisingly how much heat you can lose around your neck area.

I used to dress in my funny clothes, I will be 76 in April, and I can't handle the cold like I use to. If the weather is REAL mild I will occasionally dress up. I take my silk square with me in cold weather whenever I go outside.

I don't mind the cold so much. It's the wide temperature swings we've been having in PA. If it would stay cold I can get use to it. But I don't adjust to fast anymore.
