You been out deer hunting all morning and seen nothing, you are cold, hungry and grouchy... :curse:

On the way back to your car/truck you see another hunter and he starts talking about how nice your traditional muzzleloader is...

You offer him to shoot it (you were going to empty it anyways) and he says yes...

Just as he cocks it, a large buck jumps out from a wooded area and he shoot it with your gun... :haha:

Who's deer is it?

you thought it was yours your a bad man.... :nono: .....................bob

Well, of course it's his deer, but you have to ask yourself, could he have hit it with his shotgun?

I agree with Doc - were it me doing the shooting, I'd share with the owner of the rifle - most certainly.
: If I owned the rifle, as in Musketman's senario, I'd compliment him on a great shot, if it was - help gut it, if asked, and hope for 1/2 the deer. Any claim? No way, he shot it, it's his deer.

His deer.

Then I'd help him drag it out and lift it into the back of his truck.

All the while, I'd be talking his ear off about my personal passion, traditional, 1760's era flintlocks.

Hopefully, I might make a convert out of him!

Thanks,

Jerry.
