Well.....you could have bought one from me and NOT gotten screwed maybe as I have 4 that I need to move down the line so to speak! All made by a good builder over in Georgia with Sharon and Getz barrels! But I ain't gonna give 'em away!

for that price I've seen a few Pedersoli Kentucky/Pennsylvania rifles, but you'll have to shop around. from what I gather they tend to be a step above the traditions.

Go and search their customer help center for "returning a muzzleloader". The link below pops up and THAT IS IT. Nothing specific to muzzleloaders.

I know you mean well, and I agree, but unfortunately this is their policy. Now it's a muzzleloader here, so not technically under the federal law, so I would like to hear what their customer service says about it. Betting heavy odds you will hear they consider it a "gun" and don't return it.

"Returning a Gun
Due to Federal regulations, guns are not returnable. Please inspect your gun thoroughly before transfer. If the gun received at the FFL Dealer is incorrect or damaged in shipment, do not take possession of the gun, and please Contact Us. After transfer, any warranty or repair work must be coordinated directly with the gun manufacturer."
pretty sure the federal regulation part doesn't count muzzleloaders.

Re-read my first paragraph.

Then read it again.

Then one more time for good measure.

Then, call Midway and ask them if a muzzleloader can be returned for any reason.

Do please report back on THEIR policy on returning muzzleloaders......

What I see at every gun shop is " All firearm sales are final including ammo "
So when I ask about muzzleloaders the answer is Its a gun isn't it...? The dealers don't want to deal with the ATF anymore than they have to.
