well today was one of those days. almost everything i touched broke.
fired my tennessee mountain .45 today and that went well. everything after went to h....!
started to clean the rifle and the jag broke off about 22 inches in the barrel. air wouldn't budge it. searched for my grease guns and found them in my storage shed finally. found the right zerk. got about 10 pumps from each gun. could see the jag and plug 4-5 inches in. ran out of grease.
called my buddy and he said he had some cartridges for the grease gun. went down the mountain on the quad and about froze. dumb move.
Buddy couldn't find the cartridges for about an hour.
finally found them and borrowed one.
10 more pumps and out plops the plug!
3 hours of cleaning lithium grease off the gun, the gun rest, the floor, the ram rods, my hands, my face , my shoes, and a plate full of tacos and i am ready for today to end.
thanks Ron!

That's awesome. But this thread is not going to be 35 pages🤣🤣
How did you get grease all over?

it was just one of those days Ron. a glop here a glop there and soon it was places i ain't gonna say! never use the graphited lithium grease! :D
i wasn't about to pull that barrel and unbreach it so the grease worked great. funny thing is while i was shooting the first session this morning it only had a 1/16 inch vent. i didn't like the ignition so drilled it and installed a liner. easy to remove and put in the zerk.
