The secret to cleaning a Remington 58 is Q-Tips, lots of Q-Tips.

At least that seemed to speed up my cleanup time.
 
That kind of defeats the purpose of having a black powder pistol. If I decide its not for me, I will just trade it for something that is.
 
Shot my 1860 Army today with 3f 777 and clean-up was only 45 minutes and I'm fussy. That might be the way to go if cleaning is a drag for you. The 25 grain charge I used was very accurate to boot.
