I glad your wife is a keeper. I know the feeling. One Christmas in the mid 80’s my late wife gave me a Pietta Colt Pocket Pistol with an extra cylinder. I still have it and treasure it as one of my favorite bp revolvers.
I have one slightly used wife I would be willing to make a trade with you! LOL!So, my wife and I are on different different schedules. We both work days, but leave at different times of the morning. We even work at the same place, but our shifts are always off just a bit. Apparently, she pays attention to my late night YouTube watching. Anyway, we exchanged gifts tonight for our Valentine’s Day, since she will be leaving much earlier than usual in the morning. This is what she bought me.. View attachment 198080

This is my first black powder revolver. My jaw hit the floor. Needless to say I’m very much a rookie with these. So, I’m going to rely on y’all to help me figure this revolver out.
Anthony
She received some nice flashy wrist jewelry and lots of other trinkets Though, I wonder if if could be melted if necessary . If y’all don’t see me around for a while, the answer is a hard NO.. lol.Anthony - I trust she also got an awesome thoughtful gift, powder and lead perhaps?? Leather and pillow ticking??
Thank you for the advice. I did note that from reading some threads to be easier on the brass framed ones. And I will bolo on the #10’s if necessary.Ok, great wife and all, but on to practical matters....
It's a brass-frame revolver. Keep the loads on the light side and maybe you don't want to try conical bullets. Read the fine manual and follow the directions. Number 10 caps probably. They've been hard to come by of late, but keep looking, don't try #11 caps unless you want to experience a chain-fire.
Amen to that! A rare thing indeed.I was married to an excellent woman. She kept me when I wasn't particularly keepable. Bought me a TC .54 cal rifle kit in 85. I got her a TC Seneca .36 cal in 86. She was a good wife. Passed in 96 and from what I've seen and met since then I haven't seen or heard of one I'd marry. Wouldn't be fair to either of us. Wives like yours and mine aren't that common any more I don't believe.

No doubt. Also, don’t buy women clothes or shoes. I buy her a gift card to the places she likes, and she can decide. Otherwise, I’ll have my rear in a sling ha, ha! Thankfully, she’s very easy going.Real early on in my marriage I was about 20, I found that it was a bad practice to buy the wife things to clean house with, appliances and such. They like personal stuff a lot more.
