I made a convert today....

Hi All,
I was shooting at the range today and in the position next to mine was another flint shooter. I was watching what he was doing and noticed that his ignitions was really, really erratic, he had several flash..no bangs. Very loose shot groupings... Although, his followthrough was great, no flinching, no blinks. Steady as a statue....
So we get to talking and he told me that he was using loose pyrodex and that is all he has ever used. Never tried BP.
To which I think Hmmm...I sense potential...
So I inocently ask him, "Care to try some of my Goex??" He said sure, why not.
So I give him a charge of 70gr 3f, hand him my pan charger with is filled with 4f. He loads up, Takes his stance, fires the shot...BANG! instanious ignition! AK47's and M-16's, move over, ya got nothing on this...
He looks over at me and "Wow, I'm buying some Goex".....
I think to myself..."Welcome to the dark side Luke".... :thumbsup:

BTW,
His shot was dead center in the target :hatsoff:

Another week and I'll have him a card carrying member of the ML Forum...

Well, here's the update on my potential BP convert.... I get to the range this morning and start setting up. After a few minutes, I notice that somebody is setting up in the position next to me. I look over and see that it is the guy I turned on to BP the week the before and then i see him reach into his bag and pull out a can of red 2ff Goex... :applause:
Conversion complete....one more rescued from the sub side... :grin:
Next step, get him to register on the forum so he can start converting people himself....
