I have a 56 cal renegade barrel coming soon, and I am confused about what gauge it is 28 or 24? Thanks

You didn't ask or anything  but my son and I each have one of these and we have found the Ox Yoke Wonder Wads to work well in them.

I used to use the ones for 54 caliber, but at the suggestion of someone on this forum I tried the ones for 58 and found they work better (more velocity). So for roundball, I use 80 grains of 2f, Wonder Wad, .018 patched .550 roundball, Wonder Wad.

For shot I think you may find you'll get better patterns if you use more shot than powder.

Congratulations on your .56, we've had a lot of fun with ours.

.28ga

Circle Fly makes .28ga over shot cards, and Oxyoke .58cal wonderwads work great as OP wads.
