I call this a Chunk Gun. I don't have a real clue what to call it.. The only marks are on the rear sight. It is a Marble with no visible number and the patent date is illegible. It is about .45 cal with a sweet bore. Appraising for a friend who lost his brother. Information and ball park values please. The stock crack is serious and will be properly fixed. Missing the false muzzle.

It is a nice old rifle. Yes it is cracked at the wrist. I am planning to fix that. Should be fairly easy and hidden. Thanks to RONOCAS for the clarification,.

What is the weight on it? Looks more like a Light Bench or Cross Stick rifle if it is under 14 lbs. That deep crescent butt plate is probably gonna hurt though. Without the false muzzle and the crack through the wrist probably time to retire this one.

Looks NY?
Probably twist for short bullet.
20 rod rifle?
Get it restored and have fun!
