I had a very collectible 1942 Winchester 75T WW2 training rifle in my safe barrel down and when I opened the door it fell out and cracked the wrist. I drizzled some CYA glue into the joint, wrapped it, and the crack became invisible.

Was at a gunshow years ago and a guy had a bunch of new guns on top of a table all leaning into a wobbly homemade rack with notches. I was 15 feet away when the whole thing let go, guns clattering to concrete floor. He suddenly had a bunch of barreled actions for sale. Thank God no one was near the table or they might have gotten the blame.
