India Made Doglock ?

As I look at this lock I was thinking about possible modifications. ( OH OH) Hmmmm. If the fence and frizzen arm were removed from the pan, it might look better (?). But it would be difficult to locate a more correct-looking, medium-size hammer and frizzen with the correct throw. Of course I could have those two parts made, but don't want to go to that expense for this gun. On the other hand, if this gun was built by Kit, maybe just leave it as built and just return it to respectable order.

What are your opinions ?

My advise is if the gun is in working order just cosmetic restore it and use it

As Feltwad says, but if Kit had made it, it would be marked and he didn't use Siler parts . his locks were pretty large.
Just work on it a bit, and you will do a good job. :)
 
it looks like a tradegun barrel was used. if the parts are modern and it cleans up it should be a good shooter regardless.
