Hi Klaus!

Nice pics!

Where took it place? I'm also a reenactor and member of the 2nd company of 14th Albany County Militia. Our biggest event is every year in Fulda!

Regards

Kirrmeister

Hello Klaus. I and friends of mine have been there several occasions. Myself 4 times. Last time was 2004. Some of the people will remember us long time to be. Oh yes we came from Finland.

Hi Blackhand,

yes indeed we heard about them at the celebration procedure for the council opening .there are some members from Poland and Lithuania also.its a very long way for you to participate at the Council

Klaus

Hi Kirrmeister,

it takes place at Hundsdorf a very small village between Hoehr-Grenzhausen and Ransbach Baumbach
Highway,A3/A 48 near Koblenz every May around Pfinsten.
Unfortunately the last Councils lost her charme because some internal trouble and differences caused them.
Due to some infos the last year council should be a highlight and they are ambition to find back the old form.
At good times more than 1200 Members visit the Council with more than 200 Tipis for the Plain Tribes , and a few more of Plain Trappers , Longhunters, Settelers, Civil War Army...18th Century, Hudsonbay, American Fur ,,,
I know about Fulda it`s a real 18 th Meeting. My Friends Peter ans Uli participate as Iroquis with the Braunschweiger.
Maybe you know about them..

Klaus

Hi Texhunter, yes here are a great interrest about American History in all his facets.

We are a bit jealous about your " possibiles" on the other side of the big pond regarding hunting, shooting and to have some history points 3 steps outside your frontdoor

one question: is your location Centennial the same place were Colorado Saga means to be at the South Platte ?

Cheers Klaus

the rifle at this time was Shenandoah Flintlock .45 Cal Ardesa Spain.
It was a Handy Rifle but the Lock are very slow
Today i would like to have one in Percussion but it`s a bit expensive for what it is worth...

Here some links for Council interrests

Klaus, do you know if there is there still a club shooting in Grafenwohr? I was in Hohenfels from 1991 to 1994 and was a member of the Northern Bavarian Renegade Rifles and shot on Range 19 in Graf. We had monthly shoots and two rendezvous' a year. I have to say, you all did proud in recreating American history. Gruss Gott! :hatsoff:
