This half stock was built in the Style of a Jamestown, North Carolina Rifle but several knowledgeable experts believe it was built by Davis Gray in Greensboro, Indiana. The rifle is very ornate and has a number of inlays and a poured pewter nose cap. The inlayed signature block on top of barrel was either unsigned or has worn away to be unreadable. The rifle is approximately .36 caliber. The lock does not work reliably and the rifle would need some work to be a shooter. The overall condition it very good. If you are from Indiana this would make a nice addition to your collection. $1000 + shipping
