Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Here is a loom that I made from oak lumber that I got at a local mill. Cheap. Oak dowels from Lowes. I made 4 or 5 of them and this is the best one yet. I have another one cut out and ready to finish if I get the time. This one make 14' long and 1"-6" wide. The dowels are 9 inches long. The first one's I made from too flimsy wood and the did not hold up very good. Twisted and such. I am planning one to make at least 20' long so that I can make horn and bag straps out of hemp, wool and linen.
I had someone show me the basics and I worked all the kinks out for myself and by watching some of the good weavers in my militia group. I think I am going to take mine to Martin's Station to work on next weekend.
Y'all will enjoy doing this. I have a loom in my truck and do this when I layover somewhere at night. It is better than watching TV.

Yours is an example of the changes I would do in my loom. It is higher on the back, allowing more pegs, spread further apart and that gives you more length. I also made my first one out of scrap I had in my shop. It has held up pretty well and takes tension without bending.
