Inlay

Doing my first wrist inlay, will try my had at slight engraving of it as well. The nickel silver needs to be bent to the contour of the stock. Does it need to be annealed before bending or will it bend w/o difficulty?
Will it anneal? Not dealt with this material before.

I did one in brass. Made a bending block from a short piece of 2x4. Wrapped a 1" dowel with 60 grit sand paper and rubed a shallow groove in the 2x4. Removed the paper set the inlay in the groove and a couple of light wacks with a light mallet on the dowel. Inlays bend easy a c clamp instead of the mallet will work also.

I would anneal it first. Don't quench any alloys that contain nickel. Let it air cool.

Thanks. The material is soft as I am cutting it out. Wasn't sure if it would work harden.

It will work harden. Every metal will.
