Had to pull ball today. Found a Saf-T unloader in my box of rarely used stuff. Couldn't make it work 'cause I had wrong size co2 cylinders. Are the unloader devices still made? Website seems to indicate not, so who else makes a similar device?

I have an EC-Unloader”¦ I found through some "field" expedient tinkering that it would work just fine with standard air gun sized C02 capsules if I dropped a small blue wire nut and a foam ear plug (what I had laying around) down on the bottom of the body before I put the capsule in.

Many years later”¦ the silly blue wire nut and ear plug are still doing their job.

First time I ever used it while hunting, I couldn't believe it. To think of all the extra work I'd been doing for years pulling balls. This was so easy and I could reuse the ball/bullet.

One brand uses 12gram cartridges, same as most paintball stuff. Another brand uses 16gram cartridges (MINE unfortunately!) The only place I can find those cartridges is Cabelas. If you have one near, check. Otherwise, try Cabelas online or call customer service.

Much cheaper on the Internet...I ordered a bulk box from the Gas Depot for $39.00

1 x Box of 30 16gm Non-Threaded CO2 cartridges

Do it uptown. Shoot that ball into the Pacific!

Groovy! My brother in law uses compressed air for paint ball. Maybe I could mooch a tank and launch mine.....

No Country for Old Men comes to mind.....

Once I made the decision I was going to order and pay shipping, I went with the large 30 count box to spread the shipping across a greater volume and hold down per-cartridge costs, as I figured I'll be using them right on in the years ahead...

Go to a bicycle shop. We use those things on the road to inflate a new tube after a flat.
