Interchanging Colerain for Rice

For my next build, I have a maple stock from Tiger Hunt with the barrel channeled for a Colerain 38" swamped "B" .50 cal. which fits it like a glove. Since I'm now shooting at paper a lot more than deer, I was thinking about switching to a Rice 38" swamped "B" in .40 cal.

The specs show them to be the same size, but I wanted to check with ya'll first to see if there could be any problems.

There's a high probability they won't interchange. Best to start with another stock.

When Dave Keck does inletting for people, he asks to have their exact barrel, for which he makes a cast mould, and then he duplicates the profile in the stock with his duplicating router. He says that each and every swamped barrel has a slightly different profile, because they are all made 1 at a time

I actually already used it on another "Issac Haines" and have another paid for but still on backorder from TOW.

It's just while I've been waiting for this one that I thought I might change. I first thought I would just change the order to a Colerain .40, but haven't found one of them and then saw the Rice .40 and thought maybe that would work.

Too many guns... too many choices..... Not enough time!!

I didn't give Tiger Hunt my barrel. I just told him "Colerain 38" swamped "B" .50" and it fits like a glove.

I should add that this was with the breach plug removed and the necessary inletting at the breach. I have not inletted the tang.
