thought id share been reading here people talking about sand casting and the lost wax process. Just a note theres a product called castaldo no shrink pink . If you have basic casting skills in wax its a snap. You can basically duplicate any part, nosecap, thingamajigger by taking the alluminum mold putting your piece in pour in your castaldo instant perfect replica mold. you could cast your items in brass, bronze, sterling silver, karat gold many possibillities

I have some knife bolsters I'd like to cast in Sterling. Is this stuff an epoxy? Where have you seen it? Thanks John

I am a diamond dealer and it is used to make a mold of any item it is more a stiff rubber then you would make your waxes then cast them in plaster with a sprue to pour your metal only after you burn out the wax in a kiln. after that if centerfugal casting equipment is not available or vacume the casted item can be slung around in a circle quickly like the trick where water stays in a bucket slining it around this fills the crevices and removes bubbles to enhance details.
jewelers wax/plaster/torch to melt or electro melt pretty much you can cast
