Bought this 50cal perc. ‘Hawken Sporter’ for the stock so, rest of the parts are for sale. Basically everything but the stock and tang. Pay attention to description and a notice at the end.
Barrel finish looks pretty good with some rust on top at breech. Has been D&T for scope mount. Bore is chromed. Riflin’ looks good but chrome appears to be rust-stained.
Lock looks good but hammer has been bent for scope clearance. Triggers work as they should but like all Investarm products they need a longer adjustment screw.
I figger the lock & triggers to be worth 35 or 40 bucks each so,
$70.00 plus $10.00 towards shipin’ for everything pictured anywhere legal in the lower 48.
NOW FOR THE NOTICE : when the gun arrived I discovered it was loaded. So I fired it so I could clean it plus make it safe for the next owner. First blunder this big dumb hillbilly(me) made was to let a small piece of grey scotchbrite come off the jag in the barrel. Second blunder was bein’ too brain-dead(damaged?) to think to plug up the compressor and blow it out. This geius(me again) tried to fashion a worm with a piece of wire wrapped around the ramrod. So now it rests in the bottom of the barrel with the scotchbrite & nothhin’ my feeble brain came up with has worked to get it out. So, fish it out or break it down for parts or what have you & there ya are.
