I have an Investarms built Hawken, a .50 percussion Charles Daly import from 1985. It's a GREAT shooting rifle. It's rather plain visually, and has a more modern rear sight, but she's accurate. I never blame that gun for bad shots! Kills deer dead. Mine likes a .490 ball, 80gr of 2F Goex, and .018 pillow ticking drylubed with 7:1 Ballistol and water.

Alas, the deal was too good to be true. I had been told it was an Investarms, but when I got to see it , it was actually a Traditions complete with plastic sight. I passed.

Well if it was in great shape the traditions would still be well worth that price. The investarms woulda been a while bunch better though. I'm on my third or fourth investarms rifle now and they've all been fantastic rifles. Was gonna bid on another one tonight but let it get away...

Traditions rifles will SHOOT! People can be snobs about them, but I don't see the problem. Gonna take two of them to the range today, as soon as I'm done with my dirty bean juice.

I have two Traditions single shot pistols and they shoot great. I was just bummed out that the rifle was not what I was told.
Well that is understandable. I wonder if they were hoping you were too dumb to know what it was or did they not know what they had. Traditions rifles are great but that sounds like the old bait and switch.
