@Bledfor Days, where would I find that date code? I have an Investarms Cabela's Hawken flinter tht I purchased in 2001. It has a serial number, but I can't find a date mark like you describe.

Hi Tom. Its just to the right of the serial number. It might not be on yours depending how old it is. I just received a new GPR and it doesn't have the 2 letter code. It has 2020 stamped in the same place.
