@Florida airgunner, what you really need is a toolmaker or metrology expert that will have the ability and tools to accurately measure what you actually have left in the bolster’s nipple hole and make a recommendation for the next steps. Folks here can speculate all day from your descriptions and photographs, but a hands on examination by someone that knows what they are doing, at least in my opinion, is the way to go. A good gunsmith may be able to help, but what you need someone that completely understands thread systems, typically a toolmaker or metrology expert. Do you have any local toolmaker or machine shop friends that you could lean on?
