Mike Brooks,
You know,...I am a Hawken kinda guy but, I could not begin to compliment that rifle enough to give it justice,Maybe it's my German blood ,if I had the money and a choice of the 2 rifles staring at me in the face.I honestly gotta say..and it's not easy ,but I would really want that rifle and I think you would sell it,It would take me a while to make up my mind but I'd go home with it,nice work.

I just don't know how you do it.If I had such a talent as yours,It would be nearly impossible for me to sell something as nice as that rifle. It would be sorta like loosing a girlfrind in high school, but worse.Good looking rifle and nice artical.

Nice architecture...I suppose it's a very comfortable rifle to shoot, even though a .69? Also like the stock color and would appreciate any specs on that. Was the rifle subjected to the "black paint"? Seeing I'm not "up on" what exactly constitutes "early", it surely does convey a feeling of being early and old, anyways to me. Outstanding work by a talented professional....Fred

Stock was stained with Klien's stains. one coat of orange followed by one coat of dark brown the rubbed back. The stock is so hard it didn't absorb as much stain as alot of wood does. Yep, it has the dreaded black paint treatment. :haha:

Mike- That is one beautiful rifle & I would definitely define it as "Early". Absolutely stunning.

Yep, home made sling ring. I hadn't put the forward one in yet when I took the pictures. It's made, just not on the gun when I photographed it.

Mike how do you arrive at where the forward sling ring goes?

BTW she's a beauty!
