This rifle is in pristine, unfired condition. Serial number on underside of barrel is 325, which matches the number on the stock's barrel channel. I can't find a mark anywhere on it. Bore is excellent, shiny and new looking. Excellent fit and finish on this rifle. This is one of the original Ithaca Hawken rifles, not the later Ithaca Navy Hawken. $1500 shipped.
And Hoyt does 'sell' rebores. SWThere are people in this world that don't have the cognitive horsepower to appreciate the time honored market place tradition of conversation.
PM sent.Ok Well I certainly understand all that...and if I buy it from you tho...I would prefer it still having never been fired...as it would be for a family member of mine who prefers that what price are we talking that ypou would have to have for it??

I am not familiar, what makes this far better than a Lyman? Not disputing the claim, just curious what makes it betterGorgeous.
Keep in mind custom Hawkens are in the 3-4K range.
These are the very best next thing and for a fraction of the price. Far better than a Lyman for example!

American made, and much better QC. And I don't think there were many produced. It I am correct. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. As long as both parties are satisfied, who gives a rip.I am not familiar, what makes this far better than a Lyman? Not disputing the claim, just curious what makes it better
