Ive been practicing making waistcoats for the past year, practice is required I find. This is my second one and I used Monks cloth sandwiched between denim and fleece (B6339), I have another one on the go that looks more traditional made from corduroy. I also have B3072 that I want to make next and thats older hip length.

I'm impressed with your work. Sure, if I look closely enough, I can see imperfections but since you are not a trained tailor, you are doing pretty darned good. I have done a bit of sewing and made a few garments but I have serious doubts that I could do as well as you have on this waistcoat. If it was my size, I'd be proud to wear it. :hatsoff:

If I might, I'd like to offer one small bit of constructive criticism. In the future, it would be better to make sure that you line up the printed fabric patterns of the lining. It just looks a bit more professional if you do. I offer that with the best of intentions. Like I said, you are doing something that I cannot do as well, if at all.

Thanks!
Allot went wrong with this one, one thing is the Monks cloth is very thick, I used it so it would be warm and works great for that, but it was hard to line up the edges. First time using this fabric so this piece was a test. The new one im on is allot cleaner.
:)
