Picked up this rifle at CLA.
Anybody familiar with the maker? I was told he was from Indiana and Rifle made around 1972.

Nice shooter. Pretty happy with it so far.
Just curious about the maker, did a nice job on the wood carving and inletting work.

Joe Farmer of Waynesville N.C. 1937-2010 I'd be pretty happy too.
 
Just in case you didn't realize, that rifle looks much, much, much finer and beautiful than simply "good".
Yea, I agree. Traded a Frank House knife forwards it.
First shot was the high one, too quick raising my head to see where I hit. Next four had me grinning. Great rifle and shooter.

It's not that Farmer, I found two examples of Joe Farmer rifles. He preferred percussion and signed his barrels with "J W F"

Mine is signed "J D Farmer"
