I built a .40 Cal Muzzeloader back in the 60's using a dixie Gunworks Barrel & a J.N. Scotts Muzzeloader Shotgun right side lock & trigger. The Tumbler has worn down so it is unusable now. Does anyone know where I can get another tumbler for it?
It's my understanding that Sears, Montgumery Ward and a few other mail order outfits sold these as their botton line shotguns, so there should be "some" sidelock parts out there somewhere.
Any informaton will be appreciated.

Have you checked Dixie Gunworks? They have a lot of replacement parts and often have original old parts. Also, you might want to inquire with www.vtigunparts.com. They can sometimes get the hardest to find parts.

Yes, I tried Dixie Gun Works. They have "blank" tumblers in the soft. Vitigunparts appears to just handles reproduction gun parts for Uberti, Peitta, Pedersoli, Ruger, Colt and USFA but I will give them a shout.
If I can't find an orignal thubler I'll go ahead a get a couple of Dixie's blank tumblers.
Thanks
