Has anyone got one of jack s smoothbore's either in the white or completely done ? If so what did you think of the quality and how does it shoot ?

I haven't bought a gun from Tennessee Valley Mfg, but I ordered a precarved stock inlet for an octagon to round .62 cal barrel. I gave them a call and discussed what I wanted with them, and they were very helpful. The order came about 2 1/2 weeks later, as they said it would, and I'm very happy with it! It's going to be "My 'Ol Kentucky Gun Project". (Forgive me Spike TV!)I'd say give them a call, I'm glad I did!.....loojack

Mine was one of the original "popcorn guns"...he used popcorn to ship guns back before bubblewrap & styrofoam-peanuts were widely available. The rifle was a .32 of the Tenn. type and was as nice a rifle as any I've had. Have seen and shot several of his later work and they were all first-rate.

Have a couple of his smoothbores.Both are great in every way.Was thinking of picking up another but have to much in the works.I would highly recomend him.. :imo:

At the time that Jack was transfering the TVM business to Matt Avance, I bought one of Jack's Early American Fowlers he had on a rack at a Rendezvous in Missouri. I thought it a rather good deal. I was able to look over the wood and try the fit. I have been very pleased with the gun. The large Siler lock functions very good when I do my part and keep the flint sharp and the fouling wiped out of the pan.

I have one of his fowlers. Excellent workmanship and a great shooter. Don't shoot it as much as I should.

I purchased one of Jack's 20ga smoothbore last March at the Kalamazoo Trade Show and for the money it is a darn good shooter. Took 3 pheasants this last January during a period correct hunt locally. :redthumb:
