Since I had the Landell dug out, I took some pics of my English James Burrows double barrel. It also has London proofs from the 1855-1868 era. It sports 31" barrels and is 12 gauge. The ram rod is not original. Barrels also ring nicely and it has nice bores.

James Burrows was a provincial gunmaker who was in business with G Burrows at 116 Fisher gate Preston 1820 by 1834-42 James was recorded at Preston Lancs I have had several Burrows guns in for restoration all first class made.

Can’t beat a British gun/ rifle from 1780s-1940s. Simply the Best. The standards were so high that even the basic quality guns were perfect.

Looks to be a great, unmolested piece.
Inside of locks will be ‘best’ quality - Looks to have 4-screw bridles.
 
Nice double; should be a great shooter .....note that the shown lock is marked LANDELL
