Ok, i know this topic has been beat to death, but here goes. I know that some of the japan tower breech plugs were no good. In you guys opinion, do i have

a good one or a bad unshootable barrel? Thanks

From the photo it looks good but if you are in doubt remove the plug and check it out.
I heard some of these are pressed in. This one seems to have a weld under the tang to the plug. The tang seems to be part of the barrel because there is no seam. Looks like if you would cut the weld the breechplug would come out. May be threaded , maybe pressed in, just dont know. The weld makes me wonder why its there.

I've had one similar. The tang is welded on. The plug drops in from the muzzle and is pressed in. Whatever protrudes is cut off or filed down. The one I have didn't have the flash hole. One has to be drilled. The plug has a concave chamber, so when its drilled you have to make sure you drill into that chamber.
I didn't use the plug that came with it. I tapped it and used a threaded plug.
